The EAGP was founded in 1971 as an informal association of psychiatrists, neurologists, neuropathologists, psychologists and sociologists from various European Contries who have a special interest in the psychogeriatric field.
Thus, the EAGP was the first international association concerning the
special subject of geriatric psychiatry. Today the EAGP has about
250 members from 26 European countries.
